Review on Mercedes CL Class

by Auto Design on August 9, 2011

The name Mercedes was first used commercially in 1901 when the first Mercedes automobile was sold by a German company. The origin of the Mercedes can be traced all the way from 1886. During this year, three important things that eventually led to the formation of Mercedes-Benz happened. First of all Karl Benz developed the petrol engine powered car. Gotlieb Daimler together with an automotive engineering pioneer named Wilhelm Maybach incorporated a petrol engine in a stagecoach for the first time.  Daimler and Benz both had automotive engineering companies and Maybach was an engineer.

The first car to be sold with the Mercedes-Benz brand name wasn’t sold until 1923 after the merger of Daimler’s and Benz’s companies. Mercedes-Benz continued producing new models consistently and developing many technologies which were later also implemented by other car makers. One noteworthy ground breaking fete that Mercedes-Benz accomplished was in 1936 when they designed the world’s first diesel production car. In 1975, they produced their first station wagon. Mercedes-Benz acquired a majority stake in AMG which was later integrated into DaimlerChrysler and formed Mercedes-Benz AMG from 1999. In the period from 2003 to 2009, Mercedes-Benz produced a limited edition sports car that was known as the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren which ceased being produced when McLaren developed its own car.

One of the most luxurious and classy models for Mercedes is Mercedes CL which is going to impress you with all the different features. There are mainly three models of this vehicle: coupe CL600, coupe CL500, and the CL55 AMG. The main point to be noted here is that each model provides extremely powerful engines. The CL500 model of Mercedes coupe consists of an engine that has 5 liters capacity and a power of 302 horsepower with a rotational speed of 5,600 rpm. The engine can also produce 339 pounds with a rotational speed of 4,250. CL600 Mercedes consists of a huge engine of 5.5 liter capacity and is quite strong compared to others. 2012 model Benz CL also has important interior and exterior features such as an effective accelerator, a speed sensitive system to enhance acceleration, rear suspension, and frameless windows, seats which are covered by leather, sound system, eight speakers, climate control system, and seatbelts for both the driver and passengers. There are also innovative features like a keyless system and an electronic sensor system to make you sense if there are any cars or individuals close to you. This is very important especially for those of you who look at safety features when they are in the process of purchasing a new car. If you want to know more details about this magnificent vehicle you can easily contact Mercedes and you can get all information from them. They may even let you take it for a free test drive!
